In time of outage
O Lord, in whom all things hold together, look upon thy servant sitting in sudden and unaccustomed silence, the little lights gone dark or blinking in unfamiliar colors.
Bless, we pray, the router; bless the cables in the wall we cannot see; and give patience for the counsel of ages — to turn it off, and to wait, and to turn it on again. Should the fault lie beyond this house, be with the unseen laborers on the line, and grant us the grace to read a book until they are done. Amen.
